Re-accreditation: April 2015 for seven (7) years with Focus Visit to review compliance with Standard 6 (recordkeeping) and Standard 11 (aims and objectives assessment).
Most Recent Accreditation decision:
-October 2018 - approved Focus Visit report confirming Standard 6 and Standard 11 compliance.
-April 2022 - 'Probation' status; current accreditation continued while probation concerns are addressed. Probation status requires the following issues to be addressed by March 1, 2023:
-
Provide evidence that program records are effectively maintained including appropriate institutional oversight policies to
ensure maintenance and continuity in the event of personnel changes.
- Ensure consistent documentation and record-keeping for mandatory evaluation of student competencies in embalming
and funeral directing.
- Update agreements for use of off-campus instructional sites.
- Provide evidence that a documented assessment plan is in place to measure program effectiveness and to implement
necessary improvements.
- Provide evidence that all deficiencies cited in the prior comprehensive review and site visit have been addressed.
In addition, the program must assure that the program website and publicly distributed materials have a uniform
message including the proper accreditation statement.
-December 2022 - Completed in person site visit as follow-up to December 2021 virtual visit.
-April 2023 - Probation status resolved. Returned to 'Good Standing'. Focus visit will be scheduled when the program
completes the anticipated move into new facilities.

Most recent Accreditation decision:
-May 2020 re-accreditation with no stipulations; important factors in the decision were the dedicated administration, faculty, staff, advisory board and loyal alumni base, availability of support resources including off-campus clinical sites, proactive efforts to
meet employer’s needs and an exemplary assessment plan.
-October 2023 - Probation as result of non-compliance with Standard 10.5.2 - graduation rates less than 60%.
-April 2024 - Probation response accepted. Probation continues awaiting results for Standard 10.5.2 improvement plan.
-April 2025 - Graduation rate issues are resolved. Program is returned to "Good Standing".
