    Initial Accreditation 2015/Last comprehensive review 2018/Next comprehensive review 2025

      Re-accreditation: April 2019 accreditation continued for one year while program works to come into compliance with Standard 11.4.1 (consecutive 3-year periods with average pass rate on the national licensing examination less than 60%)
      Most recent Accreditation decisions:
      -April 2019 - Program moves from 'Probation' to 'Show Cause' status for failure to comply with Standard 11.4.1 (must 'Show Cause' why accreditation should not be removed by improving the 3-year average pass rate on the national licensing exam to 60%)
      -April 2020 - program returned to good standing after demonstrating improved 3-year average pass rate on the national licensing exam.
      -April 2022 - new Program Director named.
      -April 2025 - Probation for violation of Standard 10.7. NBE pass rate and graduation rate less than 60%. Accredited status continues while probation conditions are addressed.
      -May 2025 - new Program Director named.

      Re-accreditation: October 2025 for period of seven (7) years with one stipulation
      Most recent Accreditation decisions:
      -October 2018, submit updated assessment plan tied to new ABFSE Learning Outcomes by September 1, 2019
      -October 2019 accepted updated assessment plan.
      -April 2024, Warning regarding low NBE pass rate in 2024.
      -October 2025 - Re-accredited for seven (7) years with the stipulation to provide evidence of assessment surveys and use of assessment data by March 1, 2026. COA acknowledged the involvement and support of the college administration, the online library resources to support student learning, the strong graduation and employment rates, and the state-of-the-art embalming facility and unique casket designed for instructional purposes.
